How my journey began
I was never the athlete - I wasn’t on the varsity basketball team and didn’t run track, but, I always loved to exercise and found other ways to stay active. As a teenager, I fell in love with yoga, barre, spin, and high-intensity interval training. Fitness played a huge role in my life, but I never considered it as a career.
After I graduated summa cum laude with a B.A. in Communications from Hofstra University I explored different career paths - human resources, sales, and marketing - but none felt right. So, while I figured out my career, I exercised to stay physically, emotionally, and mentally healthy.
In 2020 I relied even more on exercise to cope with the pandemic and connect with loved ones far away. I began virtually exercising with friends and family to motivate them to stay active during quarantine. With ample time to reflect and strategize my next move, I decided to turn my love for exercise and helping others into a career.
A few months later I received my personal training certification from the National Academy of Sports Medicine. I started training my friends and family and taught virtual barre classes.
Now I train clients of all different backgrounds, genders, ages (from 9-to-92 year olds), abilities, and goals. I teach group fitness classes for older adults and people with cancer.
